Children's Religious Education
Religious Education for grades K-8 including CCD and Sacraments: First Communion & Confirmation.
CCD stands for Confraternity of Christian Doctrine.
Our CCD Staff is an extension of the ministry of the Bishop of Peoria and Father R. Michael Schaab, pastor of St. Pius X. The CCD program serves all the parishes of Rock Island. Its sessions are held in Farrell Hall and Jordan Catholic School on Wednesdays from 4:30 - 6:00 p.m. and Sundays from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. for grades 7 & 8. The fee for classes is $35.00 for the first child and $25.00 for each additional child in the family. Take $5.00 off for each child if registered before August 2nd.— Julie Nonnenmann

As our CCD teachers continue to prepare for their classes please keep them in your prayers.
CATECHISTS’ PRAYER
Gracious and all-loving Father, out of Love for all people you spoke your Word ~Who became flesh for our salvation. May your Word transform me so that the message of your Son, our Lord, may be echoed through my teaching. Allow me to guide the hearts of those whom I teach in such a way that they will enter more deeply into Your way of truth and salvation. Grant me the insight needed to lead them to know, love, and serve you. With the guidance of the Holy Spirit, may they become hearers and followers of your Word, so that they might help transform the world to follow the way of life to which Your Son has called us all, for he lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever AMEN
