Volunteers for Youth Ministry
The Youth Ministry Office at Saint Pius is asking you to prayerfully consider being a part of the Youth Ministry Program. We are looking for volunteers of all ages to help spread the word on Youth Ministry. You do not have to be a parent of a teenager to help; Youth Ministry at Saint Pius is a parish-wide ministry!
Title: High School Core Adult Team
Time Commitment: We meet on the 1st and 3rd Sundays each month from 7-9 PM. If an adult cannot make a twice a month time commitment they are encouraged to ask to make a once a month or every other month time commitment.
Description: Adults (of all ages – young & old) are needed to help supervise Sunday High School Youth Nights. Adults will help facilitate the planned activities for the youth; adults may help plan activities as well if they wish to do so.
Talents Needed: An open mind and enjoys having fun!
Training: All volunteers working with children and teens are asked to attend the Safe Environment Training through the Diocese of Peoria, the training lasts around 45 minutes. The VIRTUS: Protecting God’s Children Training may take the place of the Safe Environment Training.
Title: Kitchen Crew for High School Nights
Time Commitment: High School Nights meet the 1st and 3rd Sunday each month from 7-9 PM. The Kitchen Crew would be asked to be there to prepare, serve, and clean-up dinner.
Description: Since many of the teens attend the 6:00 PM Mass before Youth Night it is our hope that we can get volunteers together to help prepare an easy meal twice a month for the teens in our parish. Meal ideas can be: Sandwiches & Chips, Tacos, Pizza (Domino’s, Papa Murphy’s, Etc.). Volunteers will help serve the youth and clean-up the kitchen after dinner.
Talents Needed: Enjoy being in the kitchen!

Title: Middle School Core Adult Team
Time Commitment: The hope is that there will be one Middle School Event each month, day and time is to be determined. If an adult cannot make a monthly time commitment, they are encouraged to ask to make an every other month time commitment.
Description: Adults (of all ages – young & old) are needed to help supervise Middle School Youth Nights. These nights will consist of a mixture of social, spiritual, and service opportunities. Adults will help facilitate the planned activities for the youth.

Title: Trip Coordinators / Chaperones
Time Commitment: Looking for a group of adults who always enjoy planning and/or participating in a trip, whether it is a day trip to an amusement park, bowling alley, or perhaps a mission trip for a week. The Youth Ministry Office is looking to get a list of adults together that could be called when working to plan an outing, small or large!
Description: Adults (of all ages – young & old) are needed to help plan and implement trips! Some trips may include, but are not limited to: Six Flags, Incredible Pizza (Davenport), Bowling, Diocese of Peoria High School Youth Rally, Concerts, Retreats, Etc.

Title: Donation and Volunteer Recruitment Team
Time Commitment: The time you commit to helping works around your schedule! With Youth Ministry at Saint Pius being part-time the Youth Ministry Office is looking for volunteers to help gather donations and other volunteers! Any amount of time you can donate would be greatly appreciated.
Description: Adults (of all ages – young & old) are needed to help spread the word about Youth Ministry to other members in the Saint Pius Community! Youth Ministry is a parish-wide program. Thus, the Youth Ministry Office is seeking adults to help recruit people to donate their time or treasure into the Youth Ministry Program. People looking into receiving donations from outside companies and organizations are also welcomed.
Talents Needed: Willing to contact those to ask for time, treasure, and/or talent to put towards the Youth Ministry Program.
Title: Youth Commission Team
Time Commitment: The Youth Commission Team will meet once a month to help plan, promote, and implement the Youth Ministry Calendar.
Description: A group of 5-8 committed adults who will meet with the Coordinator of Youth Ministry one evening a month (excluding the months of July and December). The Youth Commission Team will work with the Young Apostle’s (Youth Council Members at Saint Pius) to plan social, spiritual, and service events.
Talents Needed: A strong passion to help the youth in the Saint Pius and Rock Island Community!
