Order of Christian Initiation of adults (OCIA)

Have you always wanted to learn more about the Catholic Faith?
If you or someone you know is interested in OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation of Adults) who desires to grow in faith, learn more about what Catholics believe or desires to receive the sacraments of Baptism, Communion and/or Confirmation, please consider joining OCIA this September.

We would love to have you as part of our faith journey for the year. We meet on Tuesday evenings in McCarthy Hall from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.

If you have questions, contact the parish office for more information or to sign up. Brochures for OCIA are in the wooden cabinets by the church doors.

Were you baptized as a Catholic but never received the sacraments of Holy Communion and Confirmation?
St. Pius invites you to a process of prayer, study and reflection for those who are considering joining the Catholic church.

What is OCIA?
OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation of Adults) is a process through which non-baptized men and women, as well as  those baptized in a different faith tradition, who wish to become Catholic, enter the Catholic Church.

It is also intended for those who were baptized Catholic but never received First Communion or Confirmation.  OCIA is not just a program; it is a journey we make together with the Catholic community in search of God.

If you are an adult who is interested in becoming Catholic or are already Catholic but wish to receive the sacraments of Holy Communion and/or Confirmation, call the rectory (309)793-7373

OCIA Begins Tuesday, September 2!
6:30 - 8:30 pm. in McCarthy Hall

For more information, please call the parish office (309)-793-7373 or send an email to Shaunnessy Shaw, s.shawstpiusri@gmail.com

We look forward to this journey with you!

Congratulations and Welcome to our newest member of the Catholic Faith Community!

We are so happy to have you as disciples of Jesus who can help us renew the world for Christ by our love of Jesus and our willingness to share the gift of faith. Please say hello to them, welcome them and continue to pray for them.
