LOVE in every WORD Book Study A new book every month! Watch the bulletin for future months’ books.

January’s study: Broken and Blessed by Fr. Josh Johnson. Deepen your understanding of the Catholic faith and learn about the religious journey of a millennial with Fr. Josh’s relatable, informative and inspirational book. Using his own experiences, both as a former struggling young Catholic and as a priest, Fr. Josh Johnson offers an inspiring witness of how he came to know God, rather than just knowing about him—and presents practical ways for us to truly know God as well. Tuesday, January 18. Choose a Morning or Evening session. Morning Session: 8:00 AM - 9:30 AM (McCarthy Hall) Evening Session: 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM (St. Peter’s room - Farrell Hall). THEOLOGY OF THE BODY: An Introduction. Thursdays, Feb. 17, 24 and Mar. 3. The Spirit gives the Church what she needs, when she needs it. The Theology of the Body is the perfect gift to the Church for our time. In it, St. John Paul II gives the Church a deeper understanding of what it means to be created male, female and made in the image of God. This is theology like you’ve never heard it! Couple’s Mini Retreat: His Needs - Her Needs Saturday, February 13th, 9 a.m.- 11:30 a.m. McCarthy Hall, St Pius X. Communication is a central issue in every relationship. Come spend a casual morning together giving your relationship a little TLC for St. Valentine’s Day! Fun, lighthearted talks with powerful information and plenty of good coffee. Singles welcome also! The Mass and the Eucharist Explained Tuesday, March 22 in McCarthy Hall, 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. Whether you are new to the faith or a cradle Catholic…this class is for you!! Preparing for a Peaceful Death during Life March 19th, 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. in McCarthy Hall. During Lent, the Church has traditionally encouraged the faithful to think about the Four Last Things: Death, Judgement, Heaven and Hell. Far from being depressing, there is deep wisdom, peace and freedom in the practice of keeping our eyes fixed on Heaven. Bible Study Genesis to Jesus: Discover Your Place in Salvation History. Thursdays, 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. in McCarthy Hall. March 10, 17, 24, and 31. Learn how God fathers his people, preparing their hearts through a series of ever deepening covenants, to make us one family.

St Pius Father’s Group All Fathers with school-aged children are welcome. Come join other men to discuss faith, family and raising children. Every other Monday 7-8:15 p.m. in the St. Pius Library (in the church basement). Meetings resume January 3rd, Jan 17th, Jan 31, etc.. Contact Adam Ziegler at 309-948-6118.
